DO LIONS CLIMB TREES?
February 7, 2012
Although
lions do not normally climb trees, they may sometimes do this when chased by
another lion group or wild buffalo. The exception to this is in Queen Elizabeth
National Park - Ishasha Sector of Uganda, where one finds the Tree Climbing
Lions. They climb trees and rest on them in the afternoon, when the sun is
high. This is a truly unique phenomenon. There have only been rare similar
sightings in Lake Manyara National Park of Tanzania. For more, please visit www.africansafari.tk
